EPDM, synthetic turf, landfill, coal ash, artificial turf, liteearth, earth cappingLiteEarth is an advanced synthetic grass and EPDM geomembrane liner designed to be used as an innovative, long-term closure solution. Since no soil cover is needed with LiteEarth, it falls within the category of exposed geomembrane covers. However, an important difference is that the LiteEarth is not completely exposed – in the sense that a geomembrane is – but is covered with a synthetic grass. As such, the average lifespan of LiteEarth is much longer than geomembrane-only exposed covers, in which the geomembrane is not protected from the elements of nature.

LiteEarth Performance Highlights

  • Covered or buried geomembranes, such as LiteEarth, are projected to last 7 to 10 times the exposed half-life of the material.
  • LiteEarth’s EPDM liner is expected to perform for more than 250 years.
  • The synthetic grass and woven primary also have been specially treated with enhanced UV stabilizers.
